Berthold Marx offers high-quality standard gas pressure springs and gas tension springs that are ideal for various applications. In the Berthold Marx gas spring range, you will find both steel and stainless steel (RVS/Inox) gas springs.

The stainless steel gas springs are specially designed for environments requiring a high degree of corrosion resistance. These inox gas springs are made from RVS 316, making them more resistant to salt and chemicals than their RVS 304 counterparts. This makes them particularly suitable for applications in the food industry and chemical industry.

Berthold Marx label with reference and power indication.

How to find the correct part number?

The part number of your Berthold Marx gas spring is unique and constructed according to a specific pattern. The reference consists of the following elements:

  • ST: Starts with ST.
  • Stroke Length: Indicates the length of the stroke.
  • Force (XXXX): The force of the gas spring in Newtons.
  • V or no V: 'V' indicates a thread, while the absence of 'V' means the gas spring has fixed eyes for attachment.
  • DXX: The diameter of the piston rod.
  • IN: If present, it means the gas spring is made of stainless steel 316.

If you bought your old gas spring at Hinscha, there might still be a Hinscha sticker present. This sticker can have a reference consisting of 6 digits (X.XX.XXX). You can enter this without dots at the top of the search bar to find your exact gas spring.
