Which gas spring do you need?
Ace offers three types of gas springs, each with specific applications:
- Standard Gas Springs (GS): These gas springs move smoothly up and down and are ideal for various industrial applications. They are designed for reliable and long-lasting performance under heavy conditions.
- Gas Pull Springs (GZ): These gas springs are the counterpart of standard gas springs. Instead of a pushing force, these Ace gas pull springs provide a pulling force and are suitable for applications requiring a constant retracting force.
- Stainless Steel Gas Springs (RVS): These gas springs are specially designed for environments that require a high degree of corrosion resistance. These RVS gas springs are made from RVS 316, making them more resistant to salt and chemicals than their RVS 304 counterparts. This makes them ideal for applications in the food industry and chemical industry.
If your application uses two or more gas springs, we always recommend replacing them simultaneously. With proper installation, the gas springs will wear evenly, resulting in a similar lifespan.
Order your new gas spring
Use our search function below to enter your part number and find the correct gas spring. Whether it is a GS, GZ, or RVS gas spring, we ensure you get the perfect replacement.
How to find the correct part number?
The part number of your Ace gas spring consists of the type of gas spring, cylinder diameter, rod length, and fittings. For example, let's take a gas spring with reference GS-28-150-AA. This refers to a standard gas spring with a cylinder diameter of 28mm, a stroke length of 150mm, and 2 eye fittings.
An Ace reference is not unique and only refers to the model of the gas spring. This reference does not account for the different forces that the same Ace model can have. The required force can be found on your old Ace gas spring. For a gas spring with a force of 600 Newton, you will see 0600N on the gas spring.
If you purchased your old gas spring from Hinscha, there might still be a Hinscha sticker present. This sticker may have a reference consisting of 6 digits (X.XX.XXX). You can enter this reference without dots at the top of the search bar to find your exact gas spring.
Incomplete reference or can't find your reference?
Due to wear, it may happen that your reference is only partially visible. If you have a standard gas spring (GS), check out our full range of Ace gas springs and use the filters on the left to find your exact gas spring. Note: You will land on a page with only Ace gas springs. If you also want to find alternatives from other brands, uncheck the 'Ace' filter in the left column.
If your Ace gas spring is not a standard gas spring, you can send us a photo of your entire gas spring via info@hinscha.com, along with the reference and force indicated on your Ace gas spring.
