CASE: The Marina Nieuwpoort
"Custom rubber fenders for docks"
The Marina in Nieuwpoort is the largest marina in Northern Europe with more than 2,000 berths.
To protect the boats and docks, rubber fenders are attached around the docks. Due to heavy use, these fenders wear out and eventually need to be replaced.
The Marina in Nieuwpoort contacted Hinscha to help find a solution for replacing the existing rubber fenders. An essential part of this task was that the new fenders had to be compatible with the existing steel mounting profiles on the docks.
In collaboration with our production partner, a custom rubber fender was designed to fit the mounting profiles and still provides perfect protection to the docks and vessels today.
